    2HOT2HANDLE

Was thinking of going to this event for one day until I visited the site to see the program and cost.

    www.2HOT2HANDLE.co.nz

    Adult ground pass $20.00
    Track sess 1 seated (11am-12.30pm) $10.00
    Track sess 2 seated (1.30pm-3pm) $10.00
    Track sess 3 seated (3.30pm-5pm) $10.00
    Pit pass $5.00

So to get into the show and be trackside for one day (the program is the same both days) will cost me $55 bucks.

Please correct me here someone? I must have missed something.
For me this event is 2expensive2attend.

Ive been waiting for this event for a few months now, but now that ive seen the price i might have to change my plans for the weeknd, the only thing i can correct you on is that if you buy a $10 track sess ticket it includes access to the pits so you probably dont need the $5 pit pass. Still expensive though, only thing i can hope is that you dont have to be in th grandstands to watch the track sessions & theres somewhere you can stand for free.

$55 ???? screw that man, anyways ill be up north. Probably all that cash will go towards the petrol they use or the council are just being greedy.

We're heading down to 2hot2handle on Thursday night after work. Does anyone know if there is any road works between Rotovegas and Wellington? I have been told there are some roadworkds in the Taihape area.

    Cheers

Be sure to look out for Sparky Bills on the R1 for some wheelies, burnouts and drags. He said i could go in it but after the whoopin he gave me in a drag race, i thought id sit this one out.

What a friggin rip off.... an xtra $10 just to see a bit of racing.... wonder how crowded the walkway will be... probably enuff to make it collapse....

$20 for a car show is a tad steep anyway, if you gotta pay to do anything worthwhile... afterall, 50% of exhibitors are trying to sell you stuff... and you gotta pay for that privilege

(I think I need more sleep... a bit negative today)

Will keep an eye out for Sparky Bills I'm sure I'll notice an R1!!! We had been lead to believe that Wellington was positive about 2hot2handle but you lot all seem a bit negative. We'll be there anyway.

They are straighting up that bit of road around Taihape where there's a 1/2 km twisty bit that always has that ICE ON ROAD electric sign during winter.

Cool thanks. Didn't want to spend all week getting the car ready for a show and then have to drive through roadworks to clean it again when we get to Wellington. Will probably spend one day at the show and one day looking around Wellington til we get the car back.

Desert Road is a mess of road works at the moment, more again just short of Taihape and more again past it. MacKays Crossing slows you down - other than that plain sailing, came through there this morning from Taupo

Some good drag racing today . Looks like the MV rider had a big moment during this afternoons run . After dealing to the hardley whilst on the back wheel , left the braking late ... Next thing there's smoke pouring off the back wheel and the bikes dancing around for 20 - 30 meters . Just pulled it up in time before the barriers at the end of the strip. Full marks for the wheelstands.

Anyone see the jet car run ..... I can't believe how fast that run was , never seen anything that quick before. Worth the $20 just to see it do one run. (anyone get a video ?)

    Had a great time!
Was an interesting ride home with a square rear tyre. Na the MV and I were just playing around locking up the back wheels etc at the end.
The Gixer was bloody fast, PLUS CRAIG WILKIE WAS RIDING IT!
He did a 6.1sec run, and was trying to go faster on Sunday.

On the Sunday, we were just showing off mainly.
The show inside the stadium was bloody good too!
    Some very nice displays.

If anyone has any photos from the drags, I would love to see them.
