It's awesome track, It makes manfeild a riders track rather than 3 drag strips.

Thanks VMCC and all the volunteers that helped out over the weekend. I had a ball and without you guys I wouldn't be. Cheers!

Also a get well soon to all the people that were injured over the weekend. Having been there a couple of times now, I really sympathise for you! Good luck with your recovery to all concerned.

Well what a weekend it was.
Got to the track just before 7am Saturday morning with already over 10 vehicles waiting in line for the gates to open to which they did spot on 7, so thanks heaps Sue from Manfeild for that..
Set myself up in the office ready for the on slaught of all the riders coming in to sign on and collect their transponders for the weekend. Was very impressed with how many Riders already had their log books already filled out before turning up to sign on Guys and Girls.
Riders briefing was done just after 8.40 with the Motards going out 1st just after 9 for their 20 minute qualifying with all other classes doing the same when it was their time to get out there. The weather a little chilly at that time of the morning but with no rain in sight.
Saturdays qualifying went off well with all classes getting thru their sessions before we stopped for a half hour lunch break some time after 12.
After lunch and with the time being around 12.45 it was time for the Motards to get out there for their 1st race of 6 laps, followed by all the remaining classes.
LG Superbikes had 10 Laps and were the last class to go out the for the day.
We ended up finishing the day without too many hipcupps and with the weather managing to be kind to us which was Awesome.
Sunday I didn't need to get to the track as early as Saturday as there was no sign on to be done so I felt more relaxed.
Riders briefing was done just before 9 with a 3 lap scrub in for those riders who wanted to go out there and test their bikes for tyres and any mechanical work they had done the night before that needed to be checked before their race was being called up just after 9.
Racing soon got under way with all classes having a 10 Lap race in the morning and a 6 lap race in the afternoon to which a couple of classes at the end of the day didnt manage to get their afternoon racing in due to the ambulance being kept busy with a couple of bad crashes to which riders needed to be transported of to hospital for further treatment and it left us without a free ambulance to which a meeting can not continue on without 1 being at the track available.
    Overall a good meeting.
Thanks to all of the flag marshalls, you guys are Awesome and you all do a Great job out there, also thanks to all the VMCC helpers who rock and do their jobs to perfection and the Ambulance people who always do a fantastic job and are such a God send.
I hope most of you who were there either Racing or Spectating enjoyed Round 2 with us and I look forward to seeing you all on the 25th back at Manfeild for Round 3 of the VMCC Actrix Winter series.
Also to those riders who sustained injuries I wish you well with your healing process and look forward to seeing you all back at the track and back out there doing what you all enjoy. Takecare guys and Girls and Thanks for reading this. See you all again soon. Cheers for now. Sue (SKIP) VMCC.

You pretty much summed it up Chick

It was another great round and alot of great racing to boot. The long track seems to be the one to race on it's not a horse power circuit it comes down to handling and rider and making sure you are using the corners to your afvantage and it's very exciting to watch. We are looking forward to the August round for Long Track again.

Thanks again to all involved in putting on another top meet. I was also surprised to see that the crowd was almost if not as good as Nationals, so you guys and girls who are putting on the show cheers it makes a great weekend of watching motorbikes in our own back yard

Stay warm & See you all at Round 3

I was impressed with juniors' riding on Sunday, well done to him. What with the two honda superbikes at the front clearing off and then the two young fellas on SS bikes chasing, the rest of the F1 was lacking. G.

Exactly Deano and thats what its all about if we are going to keep Road Racing alive in New Zealand. Its about Guys and Girls getting out there and giving it a go regardless of what their standard is. They all have my 100% support and here's hoping that they all keep going with it so those of them out there who cant do it can at least come along and support those who can. Onyer bruv..............................not to mention that the 2 up front are NZ's version of factory riders.
Drew being the next litre bike in line was going great for a bike thats out of date.

Hey Skip ya looked shattered when ya came and saw Nicky in the ambulance bay, I don't think ya even knew who I was when I said hi...............not good circumstances though so will let ya off this time. Great job once again mate...............and to all the volunteers and officials too

At least that race grid was FULL, Not like the LG grid. 10 bikes I think, what is the point to it?

You know full well which comment I was referring to - I even quoted it specifically.

Yes Booth and Neil were flying - I guess you felt the rest of that field was lacking also.
