    Cool pyrocam.com

wooty. Ive joined the dot.com boom.
Im not too late am I?

anyway, until I get my php fixed Im running a frontpage site (euugh) with the good pic's from my latest 2 projects.

    • Building a gravity trolley (red bull trolley grand prix 2007) from scratch
    • Repainting my motorbike the cheap way.
    • building my server and content up to a reasonable website.

please feel free to have a look at it and report any stuff ups. its extremely minimal at the moment. Cheers

PS: Im looking for a 300+Mhz laptop for windows 2000 all offers considered

The new paint job looks really good. Well done, thus far, looking forward to seeing the rest of it in that spunky colour

ahhh... sorry to put a damper on the bike painting thing, but do you realise you have halved its value??? (if not more) :spudwhat:
use 800 (at least) wet and dry and rub back the primer before you add colour...(I could still see sand marks in your final coat)

    Love the trolley BTW

halved value. thats a bit of a bugger. oh well. just hope it doesnt get repo'd or anything.

the halved value thing. Is that because its not a professional paint job? I hope I dont get in trouble. I have it on finance but its an unsecured loan IE the bike isnt the security so technically I should be fine right? :nervous:

I didnt intend to sell it anyway. much nicer to keep bikes I think.

    Cheers on the trolley.

Professional or not... in NZ, if its not an original colour, the bike aint worth poke.... just the way it is... questions pop up like "why, was it dropped?"... "what was wrong with it?" when I looked at trading my zeal, I went to a bike shop (or 3) and asked what they thought... "dont paint the faded bit or you wont sell it"... "better faded than resprayed" and more....

this got sweet FA as a trade-in coz it was a custom colour... and that was a professional pearl... [edit] image too big....

We dont have that many s/h bikes to make custom paint worthwile... I'll only ever buy original colours from now on... and I think most bikers here would agree... (correct me if I'm wrong)

i actually have to dissagree a little here - for me as a customer, colour original or not does not matter......its what colour it is.
I would pay same (if not more) for a paint job that looks good to one that is 'original'.
And, as for the sanding thing, you can go all the way down to 1200 grit wet/dry for a perfect finish.
Paintjob looks good bro - but try doin it for a bike that is scratched and plastic welded to crap....its most dissapointing, and not fun. Dont attempt without spritz and and good compressor. I did

I wouldn't sweat it if you're keeping it for a while... And as it's not the security for the loan - who cares? Looks good.

PS I learnt about repainting bikes on an $8,000 ZXR...
