I had no idea where the tag was but knew exactly in what area when you said about the best roads... the new one located in some of the best motorcycling country in the regionSo have fun.
Gotta agree that that valley has THE best roads in the region. I've got a little 1 hour loop that takes some of them on.
Ngaroma Rd is pretty bloody cool. That area pisses on the likes of SH22.
We'll see what happens this weekend if this is still around (doubt it tho'). Me thinks it may be time for a blast around there again.

OLD TAG: War Memorial Hall, Ngaroma
NEW TAG: Close to home - softball centre.
Great ride to get the old tag. A little slow going down - sun in the eyes etc. A lot quicker coming back with sun behind. Recommended ride for anyone.
A couple of hazards - mower tractor sitting in the middle of the road. Locals in 4x4's using the entire road (normal). Pine cones (!) all over the road in places...
Apart from that, ace ride...no arse-twanging moments.

EDIT: I was gonna make the Bailey bridge on Airport Rd the new tag but there was so much traffic round it this morning I couldn't get a decent shot of it. Gave up and did Resthills instead...
