This was a bit of a mission - first off, Gull servo was broken down so no self serve petrol available - had to get Shell instead...
Secondly, fog! Although it was patchy, there was a shitload of it round the old tag - I was lucky enough to get a look through a thinner patch of fog for the pic...my intended new tag was invisible so had to look elsewhere - still foggy as you can see.
Old Tag: Lake D - Lake Road, off Horsham Downs Road...I think you can just see the lake through the murk...
New Tag: Another lake - "Long Lake" in translation. Close to home but you need the right layby to take pic from...

Clue: Hostpital is behind the fog.
That's my assumption and the only way the layby matches with google streetview!
Jim's 3rd pic is from the correct layby (I think) - it is between Fowler's Ave and Killarney Road. His view is a little left of the direction I was looking in but it is from the right place.
Street view of this location has a white car parked in it. I didn't think it would be quite as confusing as it has turned out to be...

Yes it is a new to me bike. I had an incident on Saturday morning 29 January. Wet road and very smooth tar seal. My tyres let go at 100 km's plus coming into Ohaupo at 6.30 am.
I was basically unharmed but the bike was terminal. Starr Insurance wrote it off. Honda Hamilton found me another ST 2008 model with 7000 kms on the clock. It now has over 12,000 having completed the TT 2000 in the South Island the other weekend.
If you have a close look at the panniers you will see I have given it a name
