1 question what area is considered as "Waikato" for the purposes of this game?

I was wandering when this Q's was coming,

As for the clock issue.. buy a cheap wrist watch ( something that can take a hit or two ) strap it to your handle bar somewhere nice & tight

And so is the COROMANDEL PENINSULA

I guess it depends on what you use as a guide for boundary purposes... I utilise www.ew.govt.nz & use this as reference to regional boundaries & YES WAIHI IS IN THERE... just

Just a rough idea of boundaries maybe?
Really so long as there is someone who can get the tag there shouldn't be a problem but if you put something on the tip of the Coromandel Peninsula and no one wants to go there it becomes a bit pointless.

Now thats a bloody good idea. I bought a Oxford clock and then returned it cos it was crap. Said you could use the buttons with gloves NOT
Said there was a backlight - there was but if you pushed the button long enough to activate the light, the time was reset to 00:00 and the date to Jan 05, temp gauge was handy though.

But I will look at the watch idea... not that the sv has an awful lot in the way of handlebars to attach a watch to!!

Funny how useful a clock is on a bike. When I bought the SVS I saw the clock and thought "what a waste of space that's gonna be!" But I use it all the time as it turns out. Means I can leave the watch off the wrist and be a little more comfortable with the jacket sleeve zipped up. Plus ya get to see how short a time it takes you to get from Raglan to Whatawhata...not that I'd ever do that of course you unnerstand...(best is 18 minutes so far).......

Na Waihi's not pushing it - although I would say it may be pushing it in winter. In summer it's a totally different story I'm keen but I need to find the time...

Both you fella's have hit the nail on the head. If the tag sits for too long...re-tag by last person again. This weekend might be a go for this one though.

Bloody big boundaries going right to BOP (especially out onto the water ) and right up to Pukky. In saying that, we have managed to go up there already without too much probs.

I say let it run and see what happens. Remember the whole idea of it is about the ride not the actual tag.

I brought mine from the warehouse for @ $10 ... when I do the Grand challenge I strap mine to the top of the fork brace & use it as my timer, between that & the clock on the bike I can keep a good eye on my pace

I had a Warehouse watch that I cable tied to my handle bar - perfect until it gets dark, but by then the time of day (night?) is well down my priority list.

The new bike has a clock in the dash.

Try the $2 shop, they do a digital one and for $2 bucks - you can't go wrong.

Yeah, Unfortunately with the GC you ride through the night / early morning so a light on said watch is a must..mine has a big button on the face that is easily activated with gloves on & lights up well whilst on the move
