You started on Ruakura Rd in Hamilton? not many twisty roads to really test a bike out unless you head out west past Dinsdale, the road to Raglan has some nice roads that come off it (like going to bridal veil falls). Too many straight roads here, found a road out to Paeroa that ha a 7km long straight. Not even a kink.
