I don't know what you and Insomnia are smoking. These directions are more misleading than helpful.

The three roads heading south is particularly misleading. Waingaro road doesn't head south. The three roads that head south are SH 39, SH1 and river road. This would mean SH1 is the "middle one" which is not where we want to be looking. 100m before the 100k sign? Not even close! Half that and you are on the ball.

So for those that are still lost. There are two State Highways heading out of Ngaruawahia and there is only one that has a gravel carpark 50m from the 100K sign.

Simple!

From looking on Google maps it looks easy to miss coming from that way, especially if you are still slowing down for that 45. It's not where I'd be looking coming from that way.

Can I do a 'Bosslady' and post a pic from several months ago?/ Thought not. My scooter rides shows Buggsy at this fence. I wasn't going to get this one, but am heading down to explore the back roads around Tekuiti / Bennydale this Friday, so maybe a chance to make the next tag a decent ride.

Old Tag, Limeworks loop road. Light drizzle riding out and a couple of heavier squalls coming back.



The new tag will get posted tomorrow evening. If however, someone else posts the current tag with a new tag before I get back here tomorrow, then their tag stands. Either way, I will have had a decent ride.


Friday, No new tag today. had to decide between buying food for the pets or fuelling the beast. Big sad brown eyes won out. I'll get a tag tomorrow if someone doesn't leapfrog me.
