Did that a few weeks ago, another good route

EDIT: Ahhh I didn't do Fillery Road though, yuck :-) I left Pirongia and headed up through Te Pahu to Ferguson Road near Whatawhata, over the SH23 deviation and then into SH22 just before Te Uku and all the way up SH22 to Pukekohe.

the only difference between the two is old mountain rd is single lane Fillery rd is dble lane & therefore has more traffic, either way is cool

Yeah, I'd hate to take a smaller cc bike through Fillery rd as the metal is very deep in places & you have to watch out for the locals ( or regular travellers of this road ) as they seem to know the road well but forget about everyone else
