    Simon Crafar injured

If this is not posted elsewhere:
    http://www.crash.net/MotoGP/News/148..._accident.html

I have met Simon several times around the world and in NZ (last time was at trackday in Taupo in April tis year) and he is seriously one of the nice guys in the racing world.
    I hope this ends well.

Never met the guy but he was one of the most spectacular riders in SBK as I recall.
"Backing it into a corner" was a phrase made for him.

A real nice guy, and he was just awesome in '98. Apart from smoking Doohan at Donington he had a blinder at Phillip Island that year too.

Love this photo - the look on Doohan's face is great Take that ya aussie wanker!

Wonder when we'll ever see something like this again?

Get well soon. Hope the spinal injury is not too serious.

Heard him on the radio talking about the accident the other day, sounds like a real hard case. Apparently his first thought when he thought he was paralised was "I cant shag my gorgous wife again!" (his words). Sounded nasty but he is on the mend.

That ride is well remembered in the motogp pits even today . Several of the long established mechanics have mentioned it.

Yeah, all the best to Simon and family. Has anyone got an update on his injuries?

How long was it before you could then?

And is this the normal way a judging how well someone is recuperating?
