    Making of a New Bucketeer

    Hey guys an gals

I'm wanting to get into buckets, and have a NSR250 frame lying around that I was planning on putting a loncin 150 in to race in buckets. Just woundering if this is allowed by the rules (because of the NSR frame)?

Also has anyone tried running a 160/60 rear tire, just wondering how it will go with it.

Have a look at www.bucketracing.co.nz, there's a bit under Resources. Also on MNZ's website are the official rules (Chapter 24). The NSR frame is legal. We have a meeting this weekend at Slipway. Come along and introduce yourself.

160 is huge & then some for a bucket. Would have thought the NSR wheel would have been 4.5" at the most meaning a 150, smaller if thinner rim.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

You wouldn't get any real heat into a 160 at the bucket speeds IMO.

Not going to work I think, I Ran a Dunlop GPRa10 (bloody good tyre) from my Pre89 400 to see how it would go. Couldn't get it to anywhere a decent temp.

Cheers for that guys, just wondering as its got a fairly decent 160/60 on it at the moment, so hoping I could get away with using it. Save it for the ZX10 maybe.
