Man who had “50 fits a day” to undertake 10,000 mile charity ride

A former severe epileptic is to undertake a 10,000 mile ride to raise money for the charities that helped him.

Colin Mossman, 43, from Chigwell, regularly suffered as many as 50 fits in a day, caused by a bout of hooping cough as a child. Mr Mossman said "That's what started the fits. People thought I had the devil in me and I was sent to a school with nuns. But as I got older, it got out of control and I couldn’t go to work. I do building work and I used to tie something around me so I could carry on and try not to let it get the better of me."

Brain surgery thankfully ended the seizures. Colin took a motorbike test – and now is preparing to ride his motorbike around Europe for 30 days from 3rd July, to raise money for Epilepsy Action and the Rose Walton Centre in Woodford where his son is supported for cerebral palsy.

I wonder if his bike is powered by kinetic energy.
