If you're talking about songs about motorcycling, "Born to be Wild" is good, but has been thrashed so much that it has become a cliche and therefore has lost its cachet.
It's better if you know Steppenwolf wrote it, then listen to their better songs, like "the Pusher", or "The Ostrich", or "Don't Step on the Grass, Sam". Or listen to a 'biker friendly' band like Jethro Tull.

I'm afraid I cringe a bit when I'm listening to Steppenwolf when "Born to be Wild" comes on, in case anyone thinks I'm some kind of cardboard cutout.

    But that's just me.

FWIW, I've never seen "Easy Rider" (I'll get around to it one day), but the first album I bought was by Steppenwolf, years before the movie was released here. Oh - and I had an Easy Rider poster on my wall for years.
    So what..

If I was to pick a sort of motoring sort of song, I'd pick "Fuel" by Metal Licker. I like the way the drumming sounds like a V8 (or V4 bike!) with open headers....
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Then there's perennial bike rally favourites Dumpy's Rusty Nuts:

Richard Thompson - 1952 Vincent Black Lightning gets my vote.

'Red hair and Black Leather, my favourite colour scheme.'

On the video there is a shot of a guy lying down on the bike wearing just a pair of swim trunks and sand shoes.
He was setting a world Land Speed record!

I thought that at first but then I thought again; maybe the 'best motorcycle song ever' was released yesterday and we should give it another go.

    What a stupid thought.
