The weather gods are not going to cooperate mom. So I have hired a car for 24 hours to come up.

If there is anyone else who wants to leave their bike in Akl instead of battling the rain both days there is room in a car going up. mmm...dryness.

Also there is still room in the studio unit at Walton motel I've booked so if someone is interested in a warm comfortable bed to crash

let me know.

Ah crap, I may not be able to come up.

The sprocket and chain on my bike are severely fucked; the mechanic that checked it out up in Kerikeri before I went to get it failed to mention this. So it's going clackity clackity clack. I've called up Cycletreads and they can get the rear sprocket in in a couple of days.

I'm not gonna try pushing my luck so if the sprocket doesn't arrive by Saturday I can't go. ]: However, if it does arrive on Saturday and I get my baby all checked up and pristine, then I'm gonna be riding up.
