I was planning on starting in the touring group and possibly revising it on the day depending on how my speed suits that group. Is that OK?
Bikes pretty new so I'm not too keen trashing it just yet.

I've voted Touring, but I might be better starting in slow, and moving up as necessary... Either way, I'm happy to leave the decision up to you.

Start in touring and move up But what I have seen on the track I don't think the race bikes need an older Gixxer holding them up. Some of you races are going to try and get 44's so I think the middle rang of riders is going to be big.

I'm with Gix n Grump on this.. I think I'd be in between.. Not done the track before, so obvisouly wanna chill a little, but then I don't want to be chilled all day, but I don't want to be roadkill either..
May be have a 'racers' section? or between us, make sure the racers know who's who, and that we aren't going to spoilt their fun, when we're not quite at their pace. Not going to hold them up, but there's only so far and so fast I'll push

I did 50 sec laps on the ZXR, I was a bit of a pussy, maybe a bit faster this time as I have more track time under me belt, but then again havent ridden for a month. Out me in the middle groupI may be taking the Gixxer of course if the time allows me to get it in shape.

Whats the latest on me Shock XJ is it ready ??

    Pm me son

    Cheers

I've stuck touring for the moment, but will probably move up to fast later in the day if I reckon I'll get bored.. Never one to hang around, but new track, and not had this on the track yet, altho saying that, I'll be at Puke on it next week..

I'll vote for touring for now. Hard to say without knowing how fast the "fast" group will be going. Would like to have a go with some faster guys though.

Yea dude, im thinking the same, dont want to go in the "fast" group only to be holding everyone up, im not that savvy on the track and i can imagnie racers getting frustrated.

That said i hope to later in the day get one of the racers to show me around the track, i.e their lines etc.

I would expect if there are 3 groups (slow, touring and fast) then the touring group would be rather large in the morning.

mate --part of my l plan is going to be a newbee familiarisation ride.
Anyone new to the track and the slow group will get to follow me (or a fast guy) around at half pace. This will be before we start the actual "real" ridingIts going to be a 4 lap session just to get an idea where the track goes.
The idea is to get to know what the track looks like and get
seriously I'm gonna mix In a couple of the race guys so everybody gets
