    It's cave man shit.

Men look at women for one primary reason. It's been going on a while now, um, three years? Nah, three million I think is closer. Nup, can't figure it out. Man/woman/breed....species preserved.

Women are half the equation. They are there. Men are the other half. They look at women because they are there. (No other reason.) This is normal if a man's spinal cord (which is attached to his penis, an integral part of reproduction) is attached to his brain/eyes, whatever. It's an integrated package.

Don't try getting a male to explain it, some tell me that (your) god is a woman. If anyone can understand this shit then it must be a woman. The trouble is, women can't explain it, they just go off on a rant. men can explain it but they just don't understand it. It happens in pubs nationwide almost daily.

See that dunny brush over there...........?

I think its just petty shit.

I see operators playing these games with each other all the time, as well as "sometimes" operators playing these games with the operators. Its worse then a knitting group.

Never mind the same crap happens amongst the foreman when another one is on site.

Men aye!?! You think that's bad though?... I have men giving me tips and advice all the time, and I AM a man!!! Such chauvanists that they even pull it on thier own sex. It's so degrading and hurts my feelings so much I think I'll have to flick through some Girlfriend magazines to learn how to cope. All men are pigs.

As much as I do believe their is an element of unconscious sexism, The answer to your question is yes depending on how much swing the operator has. And that has nothing to do with the size of the machine.

The trick is to cut the person off before they are finished, and tell them to get out of the machine work area.

Such a shame women still interpret any kindly gesture by a man she doesn't find attractive as sexism.

I am. Bet your ass to a barn dance that if it was an attractive driver offering her a tip, she'd be all ears.

I'd like to let her sit on my knee while I show her how a real operator gets shit done.

I get dudes telling me how to do my job all the time (And I'm a dude), some of them are fuck wits and some have something useful to add. Not everyone is trying to have sex with you, some are going to see a situation where they think their input is useful, if the advice helped would you be complaining ??

If you are young and pretty and work in a male dominated field you are going to get your fair share of sexist and ageist comments. A lot of it is insecurity.

You don't mention whether these guys are your superiors or just any joker offering advice. Maybe you have to filter out the crap, maybe some of the older guys have experience and good advice you can learn from?
