Then be quiet in the knowledge that you are good! Smile politely, thank the person for their advice and show them what you are capable of! No need to trash talk. (Not that I’m saying you are, I’m saying you come across as if you feel have nothing to learn or no improvements to make)
You never know they may actually offer advice that broadens your knowledge base. Only in the industry 5 years you say? He may have been for 20 and can actually teach you something. Not a gender based thing, a knowledge thing.
