Yeah well I would go along with that. It's like hovering a helicopter - seemingly an impossible task to any newbie, not just requiring massive levels of concentration, but literally impossible, but to a seasoned professional it's second nature.
Considering how much mayhem txting causes, if it were allowed for all, then maybe they should hand out free helicopter pilots' licenses to all as well?
A commercial pilot mate of mine and his girlfriend took a C172 up and she was taking photos while he was flying. They landed, went home, and looked through their photos and realised they had one critical shot missing. She had to go to work, so he takes the camera and goes back up in the plane. Low-level and eye glued to the viewfinder he lines his shot up and gets his picture.. puts camera down and uh oh wheres the ground? Pilots will know the rest of the story, but it's a good thing that he felt no pain whatsoever. Pity about the pregnant GF with ring on her finger and his solo mum though, I bet their pain was insurmountable.
I stand by my statement. Don't txt and drive. Don't do other dangerous shit as well.
