What's a good website/tool for planning bike trip routes around NZ?
I want to plot the course and get approximate distances etc?
I know I have seen someone comment on this before, but I can't find it, so sorry if this is a repeat!
Cheers

apperantly motowhere.com is a good one. It just pissed me off personally but you might be able to work it.
google maps
type in say matamata to wellington you can then click on any part of the highlighted route.....say sh1 down the side of lake taupo and drag it across to the western side...the route and mileage change...
It is what it is
Google Maps is the one I use when I want to drag and drop routes, ie plan a yee-hah bike trip. I use wises when I want accurate directions and trip times. Usually I will consult both these before going on a long trip, as often they will recommend quite different routes.

"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."

"Wow, Great advise there DB."
