Sorry this hijacking your thread a little bit. What would the rental return be on a house like this and (given I have never been there) what is the neighbourhood like? likely to get an increase and capital value?

Actually much as I like to laugh about it (grew up in Karori which is Wellington proper) I have worked in the Hutt for well over 10 years & just thinking back, really it is not the same place it was. It used to be depressing, but with reasonably full employment I think everyone got a bit richer & grew up.

Well the valuer said $280pw which seemed pretty alright, but can't be hassled & the wife to be wants a new start in a new place.

Has over doubled in value & houses stay on the market for about 3 weeks currently going from the signs getting sold put on them.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Cracked me up, but don;t seem to hear it anymore these days since the rock have toned down a bit after the shift to auckland, so maybe living in wellington you haven't heard it as it might have been back in the days of the waikato and BOP only
Wasn't that long ago....played on air in Hawkes Bay. Was in the same vein as that 'Would you like fries with that' song ??
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Yeah I remember it here not so long ago now you mention it.

What a load of bollocks most radio stations turn to crap if left long enough.

Great “classic hits from the 80s 90s & now” Easy listening soon.

So they play old fart’s music that was thrashed to bits way back when. I‘d rather hear new decent no commercial music

    & I’m 37 so I’m not exactly a kid no more.

Opps, now I’ve hijacked my own thread. . .

Na, just your average dormitory suburb. I grew up 2 streets over in Park Rd. Was a foundation pupil at Belmont Primary.
