    1997 vtr1000 fork seal nightmare/oil levels

OK, Iv'e done many a fork seal change but this one is getting the better of me,1997 VTR1000 the seal has truly wedged itself into its bottom outer fork housing, I have removed the oil, bottom allen key bolt and the full enternels, and of course the dust seal and wire circlip that holds the oil seal in the lower fork tube ,proceeded to then pull the inner fork tube upwards which usually dislodges the oil seal after one or two good pulls but this sucker is a total prick.I then heated the seal up and surrounding lower outter tube and YES got the seal up flush with the top of the lower fork outer tube but she just wont pull out fully! HELP ANYONE .
Also does anyone know the oil level per tube I think from memory its quantity was 465ml ? but not to sure.
Hi Robert have lost your e-mail address if you can help would appreciate.

Can you send an image? With a heat gun on the outer of the tube and a tyre lever it should wedge out. Its not one of those horrible 3 lip seals?

    Vtr1000 forkoil -seals

Got the Bugger Robert,I guess trying with two hair dryers wasn't cutting the mustard but they are nothing like a dirt bike to deal with, took all of five minutes with the heat gun ! they where truly wedged in there, the oil level is 130mm from the top of the fork inner tube with the spring out and the damper rod in,Oil is 10weight in the manual 15weight if your a bit heavier would be OK.
Thanks for your reply all the best.
    Kurt.
