So I finally spent the money I don't really have to get a pair of Quasi's trousers to go with the jacket I already have from him...

Got them home and just had to go out for a trial run. Put on all the gears and eventually managed to wedge myself into the leathers. Zipped jacket to trousers (not that hard once you work out how to start the zipper...even I could do it). Tested the movement and wondered how, if I was to fall off, I would ever stand up again - they felt tight! But bear in mind they were new and I had a ton of thermals etc on underneath. Anyhoo, I managed to get the bike out and get onto it eventually. Initial impression was that the knees were more comfortable than the old leather jeans I used (with strap on knee protectors underneath). I did have to hoik them up as high as I could however to be able to sit down comfortably. But they do do this quite happily - there is a comfortable point when they just fit nicely all round. There was quite a degree of slippage between bum and seat as well - new leather can be slick. First ride completed without mishap, although it took a while to get used to the different feeling.
Used them as much as possible over the next few days and quickly became used to them. A little stretch in the leather has made them more and more comfortable. A run this morning with more normal layers of thermals underneath showed that they had moulded nicely to the old and decrepit body occupying them - the knee construction is soooo much better than what I have been using. After less than a week's use, they are quickly becoming a second skin. The armour is not obtrusive but feels solid and safe.
I had reservations about the perforated and suede leather around the vitals but these proved to be groundless - warmth is just fine - it's all tucked behind the tank anyway and doesn't really collect too much breeze.
Overall, very nice trou. Comfortable, warm and reassuringly fitting. To be recommended. I'd buy 'em again any time.
