Hey Logan if your going to do Clevdon-Kawakawa-Kaiau -miranada,etc it may pay to come off B4 papakura, and avoid Autobahn this will save back tracking, know the route well, but need a computer whizz type to put the map up,, which is likely to be every other person on this site excluding me: maybe wkid can do it for us as he heads to his second thousand post goal
    cheers firefight

Do you know how early I will have to get up to get my reports done on time and go down to Paps before 8.30?

It's one hell of a good ride will make it if I can.

Here's the map as promised Logan:

    Meet at Clevedon

Stop at Kaiaua, and at Kopu (gas etc)

    Stop of Coromandel (Lunch)

Stop back at Kopu on way back out of Coro P

Either come back through Hunua (first turn after Maungatawhiri) or go striaght through to Bombay and back down motorway

From west Auckland via Mangatawhiri instead of Clevedon it is 454kms. On the 1100 it cost me under 30 litres. Budget $40 for gas to be on the safe side

The Shell in Clevedon is the best bet - big forecourt.

It is then about 45km to Kaiaua, and about 50km on to Kopu.  From there is a 50km to Coromandel and the only about 20km back out to Kpu round the other side, then 100km back to Auckland from there - from memory that is.....been a while since I rode it ( I in Welly now)

    Nice roads but.
