    Unsigned roadworks/gravel/slippage etc

    Guys,
After watching the mayhem yesterday in Waipoua Forrest when large groups of bikes came across a very long section of gravel spread over tarmac that was unsigned posted I wonder if it might be a good idea for a road conditions forum section?

I saw one Duke in a bank, and numerous experienced riders all over the rode and travelling in interesting directions as a result. A number of which hadn't twigged that was gravel all over the road until they stopped as it was the same colour as the road.

Come on local councils this is negligent to the point of being ridiculous!!!

So be warned if you are going up that way... Waipoua Forrest road, covered in gravel, no signing and its over tarmac (what a recipe!!!).

Have you rung the local council to let them know that there is no signage there?
Maybe they were negligent, or maybe some arsewipe stole the signs....

No I haven't but a good idea.. I doubt that the signs were stolen on both ends and no stands or anything left.

I'll call them tomorrow... its a good point.
