+1 for the Red Baron gear department

I have been riding in my summer gloves and just lately with the cold weather, have found them just a little unbearable.
When it's wet they're annoying too, as they can take a few days to get back to fully dry.

So I bought some winter gloves last week....Went to Red Baron and had a decent go over several models.

In the end I walked away with a pair of Shift Torrents
The shop assistant used them himself, and gave a personal recomendation as to them being good...the other gloves I tried he said should also be good, but as he hadn't used them, no personal recommendation....Fair enough too.

They were supposed to be waterproof enough to dunk your hand in a bucket of water. He did say that when wet, at 100kph, then they might still be cold. As I'm mostly commuting I didn't see this as a big deal.

So first day using them, and my hands are freezing....just as much as in my summer gloves.

So I took them back and asked to swap for a different kind.
They accepted that no problem, and even offered me a more expensive pair at no extra charge (possibly just to get me out of the shop as they were closing up)
So I now have a pair of DriRider Alpines
    Good on ya Red Baron
    (hope these ones work)

    Yep, I'll endorse Red Baron's gear/accessories department.
Big on-the-floor selection, reasonable to good prices and genuine staff.

    I have some...and some merino ones...they just don't fit.

So far these DriRider ones have been great

They sound like exactly what I need. Didn't know there was such a thing. Cheers.
