HELP! 2004 Triumph Speed Four stator

Hey guys...I'm new in this board. I just had my 2004 Triumph Speed Four for 2 months. I can't start my bike on Mon, I thought just because of the flat battery and took it to local work shop. And they told me that my stator burnt out. To order a new one from Triumph would cost me around $1500. Is anyone here know where I can get a cheaper one? Many thanks!!!

    contact Kerry@tripleforensics.co.nz or ring him on 06 761 8289

if your Battery has been in the bike since new it may have reached the end of its life cheak your fuses and have alook at the state of the main power fuse should be the left hand 30amp fuse...has the plastic coating melted away

its a good indication that the battery is stuffed and not taking charge

this is what happen to my daytona

When mine blew in my old Speed Four it was still under warranty so I cant help with what the cost might have been. Symptoms though were complete loss of power, nothing, nada. It happened while I was riding though, just went pop and nothing. Mech pulled it out, it was bleck as a bleck thing.

No need to pay that sort of money. I had mine rewound for $400. PM Katman, he organised this for me and should have the guy's details for you. Good service, good quality job, check him out.

That's an electric starter. He needs a stator.

There's a guy wot advertises on Tardme who rewinds them over a week or so... $200 or thereabouts.

Thank you everyone! Thanks for help!

I went to the workshop this morning and had a look my stator. It burnt out quite seriously. I was searching on the web and found some websites in US, they sell the stators for Triumph (arround $110-$140 USD). would that be any differents between original ones and aftermarket ones?
