    What time are you targeting?

The Auckland half course is deceptively slow and undulating. If you want to improve on your PB (and you undoubtedly will), do the Kerikeri half three weeks later. You'll be in better condition and it's a fast course.

And beer is terrible post-training nutrition. But you knew that already.

Also, when you say 'not a weirdo', one presumes that that's girl-code for 'don't expect to get a shag out of this'.
The last half I ran, I did in 2 hours flat. I'd like a repeat, but I haven't been training much recently so that's unlikely.

I'm not too concerned as to whether or not the boys are under false pretence Jr. They wouldn't have enough stamina for said act after a run with me anyway.

That's a good idea Dave and I agree re pollution etc. Unfortunately I like a good hour each run and there just isn't enough time to eat and have a shower before my next patient comes in.

Ah, but it's still not bad advice.

For what it's worth, the last half I did was in 2005. 2:09 @ 95kg.

Might have a crack at the Auckland one again this year if I can scrape together the cash for a pair of new running shoes before then.

kiwibiker is full of love, an disrespect.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
