The ring leader fell on his ring. He'll be back soon, being as big a ring as ever

Perhaps you can all practice your breezy upstanding of the mono variety in his absence and show him how it's done on his return.

And why not throw in a fart while you're at it - nothing like a bit of style, eh?

Ahh, but you miss the point. While the ring leader may be a ring, he is still a pretty good ring at that. SO, I plan to learn from his ring-foolery and keep my erections of the vehicular variety on the straight, STILL and narrow

Fair nuff. In that case just be upstanding of the peggles (with twin rubber orbs in full gravitational mode), buttocks firmly thrust into the wind and allow the breath of the intestines to escape in humerous fashion.

OK, I'm off. Someone post here if a ride manages to get organised for tomorrow, I'll check it in the morning. If it's really pissing down I might just wimp out and hang out somewhere for the day instead, though.

Hope it doesn't rain too hard on the way down. Better make that one extra vestal virgin with fries to go, SC.

    All weclome

I think the days of gender discrimination in the biking world are LONG gone, imho. Either way, I guarantee you'll be welcome, and that someone (me) will ride with you. At my fastest I'm not very fast, and I'm feeling very strange lately, so I'm riding slower than normal. Check on here for times.

Was a pleasant enough ride down, but for one reason and another (mostly just the one) I didn't actually leave until 1620, which meant that I tooled up here on the dot of midnight hoping I didn't have to show any coppers my 6R, and didn't get to sleep until 1am-ish... yawn... and of course the parking lot next door only let me pay up to 6am, so guess who bounced awake at 0605 and had to go down and feed the machine.

But *what* about this weather, eh? Woohoo!

    Oh, yeah. Vital statistics.

Possums swerved around at [eek] kph: 2
*Extremely* narrow licence-threatening escapes from HP just north of Paraparaparathingy: 1
Nadgers frozen off on Desert Rd: 2
Nice HP men who blipped their lights and let me go with the little 'slow down' wave when I crested a rise at 125 or so: 1

SC, ride-wise, WMC a bit later than 1300 would be good for me, maybe 1400 instead?

I take it that "here" means Wellington? If so, that's quite a quick trip (7hrs 40mins) in my books, well done!

Glad you got down there in one piece despite the obstacles faced and triumphed over! ...and all on a 250cc - you're a keener man than I!

Yes, 'here', in a very specific sense, is the PCs with broadband at the hostel in Tory St. There wasn't much traffic, I was playing it a bit risky with the speeds along SH1, and I didn't really stop for much, so I guess that's just how long it takes...

If anyone talks to Dan this morning, get him to ring me ASAP. He has my number.

    Cheers
