Saturday 26/3/05, anyone in Welly fancy a ride?

i'll be keen for a ride tomorrow, depending on this weather, just started pissing down again....... Oh the joys of cordura, all ma gear dries out in 20mins

specially as the welly crew's been slack, no thursday rides for a couple weeks now, I need to be reassured ther's plenty more idiots out there.....

OK, I'm off. Someone post here if a ride manages to get organised for tomorrow, I'll check it in the morning. If it's really pissing down I might just wimp out and hang out somewhere for the day instead, though.

Hope it doesn't rain too hard on the way down. Better make that one extra vestal virgin with fries to go, SC.

I think the days of gender discrimination in the biking world are LONG gone, imho. Either way, I guarantee you'll be welcome, and that someone (me) will ride with you. At my fastest I'm not very fast, and I'm feeling very strange lately, so I'm riding slower than normal. Check on here for times.

Was a pleasant enough ride down, but for one reason and another (mostly just the one) I didn't actually leave until 1620, which meant that I tooled up here on the dot of midnight hoping I didn't have to show any coppers my 6R, and didn't get to sleep until 1am-ish... yawn... and of course the parking lot next door only let me pay up to 6am, so guess who bounced awake at 0605 and had to go down and feed the machine.

I take it that "here" means Wellington? If so, that's quite a quick trip (7hrs 40mins) in my books, well done!

Yes, 'here', in a very specific sense, is the PCs with broadband at the hostel in Tory St. There wasn't much traffic, I was playing it a bit risky with the speeds along SH1, and I didn't really stop for much, so I guess that's just how long it takes...
