It would be cheaper to just buy the $900 helmet than new glasses.... really don't want to have to go down the new glasses road just yet...
Plod: "Licence please."
Rider: Hands over licence.
Plod: "Says here you wear glasses. Why aren't you?"
Rider: "I have a prescription visor, sir."
Plod: "But your visor was up."
Rider: "It was fogging up so I flipped it up."
Plod: "Well you'll have to flip it down again or be in breach of your licence conditions."
Rider: "But I won't be able to see where I'm going."
Plod: "That's your problem. Have a nice day."
Edit: Shoei Raid II works with all my glasses. Retails around $499 iirc
my eye sight is so great without my glasses if I had a precription visor and it was fogged up I would be staying on the side of the road until it unfogged. Other wise I may as well try riding with my eyes shut.
I have an HJC cs12 and that seems to be okay.. just seem to loose the little rubber bits on the end of the arms alot lol
Ladies, if a man says he will fix something, he will fix it. You don't need to keep reminding him every 6 months
I had laser eye surgery 5 years back. Apparently it is impossible for the licensing authority to cope with changing from:
Wears Glasses: YES
to
Wears Glasses: NO
I just state that I am wearing contact lenses.
I'd be surprised if they asked me to open my eyes wide to check.
I have sports Addidas frames ( a bit bulky) and they fit fine with my shark Helmet. try contacts.
I was browsing the web checking out the latest Caberg helmets and one model had the description "channel for wearing glasses" which I assume means they have allowed room for your specks.
Otherwise, the best cure is laser surgery! Sorry about the cost though.
Happiness is a means of travel, not a destination
I use 2 Zeus helmets and wear glasses.
803 is a cheap but reasonable quality full face that has a channel for the glasses. Real easy to put them on and OK to race in.
Zeus flip top for road riding.
ensure your temples (the thingees on the end of your legs of your specs) are smooth shiny plastic - not the rubber sort. I replaced the rubbery ones on my legs with plastic thingees and they slide in and out real easy now.
Now I can just see the above being taken out of context and used as someone's signature...
