    crazzed vmcc rnd2

    Saturday
well we turned up at the track around 7am unpacked and got myself signed on.
    Practice clubmans
with never riding at manfeild before was quite hesatant. be headed out with just the thought of learning this track. once returning to the pits felt ok but not very confident. lets check out the lap time wow quali 1st great result

    Race 1 clubmans
as we lined up on the grid was only thinking there was no way i was stuuffing this start up. well i did tipped into turn 1 4th or 5th then roung to back of the circuit and run of at castrol harpin with cold brakes put the bike down. but picked it up nothing broken crossed the first lap dead last. managed to claw my way back to 6th on track. what a average start to the day.

    LG Feature
started dead last which was fine by me as it was my first time with the super bikes. as i lined up only one thing in mind is to complete the race stay up. after getting into grove of things i ended up 8th stoked. day finished on a high looking forward to tomorrow

    Sunday
    Practice
went out and did three laps bike felt good

    Race 2 clubmans
lined up 1st again got a great start turn 1st which i held for i think was 3 or 4 laps then when i crassed the start finish line some monkey was waving what looked like a black flag so i checked up but then relised it wasnt was either a shirt or something. in all this i lost the lead. as you could imagine i was pissed for losing my lead to some monkey on pit wall then came higgins. trying to regain the lead and still pissed because of what happened rolled on a bit to much which resulted in a really good highside which ended my day with a trip to palmy hospital.

so with a very mixed weekend i have had surgery on my right ankle getting a plate and screws to put it back together. my bike has sustained a fair bit of damage. i know its my fault for chucking it down the track but was is it with wankers on pit wall waving shit accross the wall in a clubmans race. i have voiced my thoughts to clive but was wondering others thoughts on this

    cheers

Sorry to read about your bad luck mate. Sadlly there are lots of monkeys both on racedays and on this forum. Some of them are now even advising other people on tyre and set-up issues. Trust people you know are true, and all the best with your recovery.

Apart from the bin in Higgens, that's some good stuff bro. I haven't been able to find out anything about things being waved down pit lane yet?

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Higgins is awesome for highsides. Get well soon.

I thought Clubman's riders could not enter any other class.

Only if your doing times below the cut off (1:18 for the short track) and I'm guessing he will be doing that soon.

As for the LG race my understanding is that its open to any SUPERBIKE as an "extra".

In the past superbik/supersport riders that didn't qualiffy got put into clubmans to get a race (I didn't have a problem with that even though they spanked me) so I guess it is OK for a clubman rider with a SUPERBIKE to get a run in the LG race, I don't think any of the LG entrants will mind much.

Bummer about you bike crazzed, my little off just resulted in a few scratches by comparison. see you at round 3 ?
