I like cartoons. Tyler's and Walsh's particularly. Mick. No, but tell me he would have lasted as long on vocal integrity alone.

Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain and had the right idea .. Go out on top before you end up in Las Vegas doing 3 shows a night and telling the crowd to tip your waitstaff... or the Ozzy Osbourne equivalent

    Amy winebag is next hopefully

Apparently jacko was taught to dance by Prince (or the artist formerly known as)

And I'd dispute the "greatest influence" bit. Wouldn't that be Fred Astaire?
Watching the continual reruns of Jacko vids on C4 yesterday, he really only had a few good moves - the moonwalk, the crotch grab and a few spins and high kicks.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

I'm not a Jackson fan - apart from Joe Jackson - but the weird one did make important contributions in a number of arts.

    A shame he didn't retire at 25.
Yes he did have his moments. A bit like Minties realy.

Or Gene Kelley - Artistically that's an interesting debate from the innovative v scripted (I can't spell choreographed) angle. Well worth someone with an understanding of it better than mine. I like Sammy Davis' work too.

But - Numerically MJ simply because there are more people and more avenues to copy him.

you got it back to front. The world shaped MJ... he was a product of the publics desires. He never had a 'normal' life and because of that became an 'animal', eventually something that the public despised of unless he was the on-stage MJ that everyone respected.

He's better off without the world. And in many ways the world is better off without him. I just wish the media, and the world would get over it.

    thats fucking rich...

shapes the world .. fuck me .. get a life .. he was just another douchebag celebrity that contributed sweet fuck all to the human condition other than to let us watch the fucking train wreck from every conceivable angle

hero worship should be reserved for the people who contribute to society..

NOT fucking whackjob "idols" who just happen to have a good (electronically altered) singing voice, can dance a few steps or can chase a ball around and are willing to let everyone watch their fucking every move while we sit in our lazy boys and spout " i could do that "

now we get to watch the Jackson family and the lawyers rip each other to shreds for our entertainment .. bring on the lions and Christians for fucks sake ..

guess i shouldnt be shocked by anything on KB anymore...

    CASE IN POINT

by all means .. DONT LISTEN TO JESSE JACKSON

I was going to say - leave the Christians out of it and just put the Lawyers et al in the courtroom with the lions and let them rip them to shreds.

But you wouldn't want to see a lion suffer like that.

Jackson has supported more charities than any other pop singer - 39 charitable organizations either with monetary donations through sponsorships of their projects or the participation in their activities. The charities involved include AIDS Project L.A., American Cancer Society, BMI Foundation, Inc., Childhelp USA, United Negro College Fund, YMCA - 28th Street/Crenshaw, The Sickle Cell Research Fund and Volunteers of America[7].
