Yes 4 strokes are for homos. Homo-sapiens that is, who have realized bigger is better.
PM r6_kid, i think he has a blown motor kicking around...
You should be able to get/order those from a Yamaha agent, I got some for an old RD125 easy enough. Shouldn't cost too much.
Cheer and beers, I only hope I can track down a set before next weekend so the bike can be up and running for Easter weekend.

Part numbers I may be able to help with. I've got the workshops supplements for the RX125 specific parts, but don't have the full one which is the Yamaha RS125 manual. I do however have the parts breakdown with numbers so send me a PM to remind me and i'll have a look for you when I get home from uni.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
Thanks for you suggestions. I'v decided to buy a new set of points and condenser. Ikasu is a new bucket and am expecting teething problems. Mind you $75 for the two is a bit on the nose though (thanks Yamaha).

If you want a hand with anything, I can come over on Saturday just after lunch. I also wouldn't mind giving your RG50 a bit of a paint job on the front cowling where I scratched it a bit. Also I am keen to give it a service. By the way, is your cell busted? I have called it last weekend and txted it today. No reception at your place maybe?
Hi, I bought 1 of these as a paddock hack for the kids, the problem is it will start, run for 2 minutes then stop. I have spark, I have replaced spark plug, points. Cleaned fuel tank, fresh fuel, stripped carby. Any ideas??
Cheers.
Hi, mine appeared to have good spark and would run for a couple of seconds
and die. I was sure it was a fuel problem, but it was the coil (or lead to the plug possibly) that had given up the ghost. Replaced the coil and away it went. Cheers Muzza

It's not running long enough to get hot. It now won't run and when you try to push start it backfires almost stopping the bike in its tracks. How would the timing have changed while riding??
Well, the timing changed because the woodruff key broke allowing the timing to move. The 3rd condensor worked. Now I just need to get the carby to refill. Once you have used up what is in the bowl it stops. I hace cleaned everything possible. It is as though there is an airlock somewhere. Any ideas?
