Headlight bulbs for Suzuki GSX?

Does anyone know what type of headlight bulbs are in 2002 Suzuki GSX250 Invader?

I wouldn't mind replacing them with some "arctic blue" ones or similar if it's possible.

Dont bother with arctic blue if you're after more light. +50's or +90's give better light than stock

Yeah I tried 55/60 "Artic Blue on the twin headlamp Bimota as an upgrade to the 35/35 H4's it had.
They were shit, I started planning relays to boost the voltage as there is some drop until I fitted +50 Narva 55/60's.
Heck the difference is so impressive the relays are on hold!

I gave the dim blue's to my mate on his Mercedes car that had no low beam output to run on high till he got it fixed.
No one even flashed their lights at him.

If you have been unable to google the bulb type, simply pull them out and take them into Repco or Supercheap and find some helpful person behind the counter to sort you out.

Stay away from the cheap shit brands like "Calibre". They might be +50 like the Hella, Phillips & Narva but they didn't last in the car - both blew within about 2 months of each other barely 18 months from new - and the headlight going out on a bike that only has one is the last thing you need (*thinks back to that time on my mate's GS1000ST coming back from Piha at about 10pm... lucky there was a moon and I was on the straight bit*). The Narva +50 in the bike is at least 4 years old and was never switched off - even survived the crash!

Oh, and don't touch the 'glass' of the bulb when installing.

Get some Philips / Hella +50. Had them on everybike I owned. Stay away from Arctic Blue... it gives you LESS light and gives lots of glare.

i've pulled the bulbs out and its bloody hard to read the numbers on it but it appears to be a philips s2 bulb. would have been nice if it was an H4 or something!

does anyone know where i can buy these S2 bulbs from? im not having much luck searching on google....

Your Suzuki Dealer probably has them on the shelf.

here is a pic off the philips website that is similar (if not identical) to the bulb on my bike. i dont want to replace it with the same thing, i want to put some better bulbs in, do u think a suzuki dealer would have those?

Take it into an auto electrician,he'll tell you the options,not supersheep or crapco,you'll get blank stares.

An H4 bulb is pretty standard, it should also say on it 55/60 or something to give you the power output. But yeah repco should have what you need, just take it into them, and +50s make a big difference!

I got some H7 +80 from England for $65 pair and here in 5 days from Friday evening order,couldn't get them here and were bloody dearer.

This http://www.worldofpower.co.uk/Galler...b_1Product.jpg is a standard S2 bulb with a quartz halogen version next to it (at front), so better versions are available - the question will be where from in your area.
They are common fitment on many European scooters (generally bigger ones) so if your Suzuki dealer doesn't have them try a scooter specialist. Otherwise a specialist auto-electrical wholesaler.

Best of luck with the hunt, oh and X 2 on staying away from Arctic Blue, Super White and similar bulbs, they are absolute crap if you actually want to see ahead of you.
