    Wtb: Toyota Surf engine

I know this is the wrong place to find car bits, but I'm getting kinda desperate.

Does anyone have a 2-l or 2-lt engine, in or out of a surf, possibly one that's rusting away/been on it's lid?

Can even come from a Hi-Ace van, hilux. 2.4ltr or 2.8ltr engines are what I need. More specifically, the head.

I'd sell mine too, if the friggin thing went.

Seriously folks, let me know if you've got a rooted 2.4, or 2.8 diesel hiace. As long as it doesn't have a rooted head, I'll be keen to get it.

Hen's teeth Drew. One of my hillbilly neighbours is also after one. Sell ya Petra's 3.0 diesel. Going cheap as some numpty took it off-road.

There are plenty of the hiace vans out there. Rusting in yards, owing a million diesel miles, but with OK motors. That's what I'm hoping to find.

Yep, we got these two knowing they needed a head each. Got stitched on one of the motors we bought though unfortunately. Then made a cock up and bought heads for the original 2L motor, which will go on the same block, but uses different manifolds.

Living and learning, they will go.

Got another one with enormous tyres and a wee lift getting listed shortly.

    The 3lt turbo's aren't as bad as the 2.4turbos..

I sold my 90 2.4 turbo a couple of years back for 3k...all they are worth,
had had its head done already.
