Triumph off-road exhaust?

I tried one of these when I first got the bike, but was told to take it off by wife/neighbours.

Now everyone expects noise that just ain't there, I would like to have another go at getting a decent sound out of my Tiger and to stop dissapointing everyone.

I liked the TOR because of the fact that it looked identical to the stock item but there seems to be many others to consider. The 'Two Brothers' unit has had good reviews.

Does anyone have good/bad experiences of these or other cans they can share with me?

I think my main issue will be whether or not I have to change the can back to get through a WOF, which may well affect my decsion?

Jebus, if your wife and neigbours didnt like the TOR I cant imagine them liking anything else avaliable on the market

I have the TOR on my speed 3 as they came as part of the deal and I cant afford anything else but would personaaly love a set of Arrows

Save your self some pennies and make up a decibel killer for the TOR outlet. Do a google image search for "decibel killer" or "db killer"and you'll see what you require.

Or move house to a more understanding area and don't take the misses.............

Never heard of them myself.

No doubt the would quiten things down, the yoshis I had on the SV came with somthing simular standard that I removed and put on the shelf a week or so after they were installed.

They will shut it up heaps - if too much you can always cut the length down. Your local muffler shop should be able to make up something similar.

If you want to check on what a smaller outlet does sound wise measure the inside diameter of your outlet - lets say is 50mm - get a piece of smaller diameter pipe - say 30-35 mm and about 150 mm long (a muffler shop will sell you a bit for b-all) - you will need to pack this pipe out to 50mm to fit into the outlet - for a garage sound check you could probably wrap it in tape (it may melt if it gets too hot! - or buy a roll of that metal tape. Shove it in the end (make sure there is a bit hanging out so it does not fall in!) and fire it up.

If this sounds OK make your own insert of have a muffler shop make one.

Basically this means that I can save lots of cash by buying the TOR off road exhaust (without removable baffles) and insert this device for the odd occasion that I need to be street legal.

I was otherwise going to buy the Arrow can with removable baffles at more than twice the price.
