$300 will get you a pair of brand new Gaerne Drytechs, which are fooken brilliant for all-weather touring. Absolutely love mine - never had a wet foot in them whatsoever. Warm and comfy to walk in too.

I've had a pair of eagles for about 2 months now.
I rode in heavy rain from Dunedin - Timaru in them and my feet were dry when I got there. But I did have a rain suit on so it was only my feet exposed to the wet. They have a waterproof liner stitched inside the leather including behind the zip etc.
I can't fault them, now they have softened up they are comfortable but still feel sterdy. Protection looks good and the toe sliders are handy for saving wear. Good grip on the bottom. They look at bit "flashy" but they were the best value for money I could find. I picked them up for $179 from Waikato Yamaha on TM.
I am a newb though so my boots experience is rather limited, but I am certainly happy with these

Thanks for the excellent feedback.Yeh they do look a little flashy,I would prefer black. $179 is a good price,I've only seen them for $250. I'm considering getting some MX boots as they seem to offer better but may not be waterproof, will be a pain to get on and off quickly and also will loose feel for gear changing possibly.
