Crap sound on this one - and plectrum not slappo - but Peter Hook and 'Duck' Dunn' are my fave players ever.

    The master....doing something different.

About 25 years ago, there were a couple of guys busking in Vulcan Lane on friday nights....a tenor sax and a silver painted double bass.I used to go and watch them with my daughter who was about 3 then. The bass player slapped like this, with percussion on the body - best busking and slap bass I've ever seen. The tenor was pretty good too.
