Not strange at all mate. Most of the Australians don't race on Pirellis.

the top Australian Superbike teams are sponsered by Dunlop or Bridgestone or Michelin.

The world Superbike championship uses a control tyre, namely Pirelli.

If Dunlop were injecting $500K a year into a team, they'd get a little shirty if that team used a competitors brand to race a wildcard meeting.

WSBK also wont let a team run displaying non Pirelli type sign writing.

Man, thats awesome, be interesting to see how he gets on. Don't think he will have a chance against the factory guys but its good to see a kiwi racing in an international race after 5 or so years without.

Anyone know how he got on with the appeal? Read on Silver bullet the hearing was last week. http://www.silver-bullet.co.nz/news.php?id=3525.

He would have to be NZds best circuit racer at the moment.
