ONLY??? MX exhausts used to be rated at 102db and they were LOUD, now they are down to 94-96db.
Anything over 80db is considered potentially dangerous, more so if subjected to prolonged exposure....

The db scale is not linear, every 3 db is TWICE the intensity.
I.e, 111 is twice as loud and 105 is half as loud.
Goddamn boy racers and your boom boom exhausts.

You obviously don't understand logrithmic scales of measurement. 108 db is 10 times the noise energy of 98 db. No wonder you got done and deservedly so.

idle, measured from about 6 meters away.....

Get some expanding foam and squirt some up the exhaust pipe. Should reduce the noise quite dramatically.

No need to thank me. Just helping the community by getting rid of baked-bean-can exhausts on jap POS cages.

108 db.

Decible readings basically read in an expodential progression, for every 3 db increase there is a doubling of noise

Therefore 108db is 4 levels louder than legal limit. IS that 4 times louder or 32 times louder, not sure. Whatever it is its fu
And you wondered why you got done.

Dont need a meter to read 4 times the limit.

Get it fixed

It's wankers like you that fuck it up for the rest of us who have a nice legal exhaust on our bike, aftermarket... but legal... then get stung by a cop who thinks its too loud, costing us time and money to get it checked...

Then you come on here to ask if you can get off the ticket?

We all want you to have a heftier fine...

Fella i know has a rx3 with a 20BPPT in it.... fucking fast... and pretty loud i think 90db ish, and thats plenty loud enough!
