yeah i get what your saying robert, with cars getting first choice, but why do our national meetings have to be around the same time, i feel sorry for the southeners & see some of them doing the tri series instead

It's to much racing in to short a time, club racers are more likely to support the Tri series/street races and not do local National rounds

We've been shafted with that for a few years now, with NI rounds being two weeks apart

You don't need three weeks off if you're organised enough and prepared to travel home between rounds, if you book flights far enough ahead it probably works out cheaper than staying down here

There is no reason they need to be, run one Islands rounds in November and the other Island in February or March, instead of Dec/Jan which for a lot of businesses is the busiest time of year and hardest to get time off

Has it also occured to many that lots of people ( many who also race motorcycles and work with them ) would actually also like a holiday at that time of year?
With the very attractive choice offered by the Tri Series something is going to give. And with SNZ putting money into that series its a very clear signal that they have had a gutsful of MNZ. I sincerely wish Jim well in mending what has been broken.

No its not. I would much rather take 2 and a bit weeks off than have to drive the 1500km+ round trip twice. At least last year you could leave your van/bike up there and fly between rounds. Now that there are other rounds in between you are forced to take two trips. I am sure if the SI rounds were split with a NI round in between it would be a different story!!

All dates for NZSBK 2010 are provisional.
South Is dates will be more likely to be well set than any, but all still need final confirmation.
I know that Southland Club and Canterbury are well underway with organisation.

BUT THERE IS NO AUCKLAND DATE YET!!! So don't go getting all hot and bothered.
Hampton Downs will be well ready to use by January/February (go to the website and see the pictures of progress), but it is up to a club/promotor to book it and organise it. Hamilton Motorcycle Club anyone???

As things stand at the moment, it is unlikely that VMCC will run a meeting at Manfeild, but this might change as time progresses or someone convinces them otherwise!!

Hampton Downs have been talking with MNZ for early 2010 and dates have been penciled in. They obviously need to finalise details.
Every motorcycle handles perfectly. Then the rider gets on.
