Picked this tag up this arvo. It was getting lateish, and the pic of the new tag I wanted turned out pretty crappy, so will have to keep you waiting for the next one. The speed this thread is moving that shouldn't be a problem

Thanks! Way I see it, is it's only dead and buried if nobody wants to play, I wanted to play, so I guess if I post up a new tag and nobody else wants to go get it, then it will lie quietly again until someone does.

Well today I went for a cruise with the Moll thru to Hobbiton for lunch. Was not a bad we lunch at a little cafe on the main drag. Then we pootled off along Tower Rd and then Manawaru road to Te Aroha. Man thos roads are long and straight, almost like the road people decided they were going to run a road in a straight line a fixed distance from the backbone of the Kaimais. This idea is reinforced a little by the couple of trig station markers right on the left hand side of the road.
Anyhow, stopped in Te Aroha, and I remembered that I owed all the BOP folk a tag. Most direct route to the Bay is Thompson's Track. Man, forget about sealing the road to North Cape, when are they going to seal this puppy? Those potholes are mean! Nearly bottomed out the boulevard, and got my whitewalls dirty.
Anyway just past the end of Thompsons track on the Katikati end is Browny's Brewery & Motorcycle Cafe. There's a thread on here about it somewhere. Stopped for a coke, and some happy snaps of a Tiger 100 and an RD 350 LC - that 2nd brings back memories
Nice spot, friendly folk, only a few bikes there when we were there.
Back off down the road again to $10 Tauranga, over the Kaimais, and home again.
