Good luck with that....
Sure, the sun will be out, the sky will be blue, there won't be a cloud to spoil the view, but as i'll not be riding, it'll be raining, raining in my heart...
I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Thanks appreciate the sentiment - what I need though are facts....and the authority to countermand what has been proposed.
I'm surprised you don't have the, it's shitty let's nominate a sober driver go to the pub for the day backup plan...

The forecast for this coming Sunday 12th July is to expect more weather. Lots of it.

Just listening to Bob the weatherman on National Radio. Sorry BD I have some bad news...
I think I'm in for a miserable weekend. Not so much because the Volty will stay in the garage, but because the SV that shares the garage has just got a new chain & sprockets, new tyres, and been all spruced up in the last week. Now it looks like it will be staying in the garage too, and its rider will be moping around the place looking like someone stole his lollies.
I might just join you lot in the pub.
There is no such thing as bad weather; only inappropriate clothing!

You'll be fine BD, if you're heading north I predict rain easing to showers around midday, if your heading south west (like me) showers clearing-ish, heading south east (coromandel) bloody cyclonic.
If you need to keep the chrome polished stay home otherwise come and play in the gravel with us.![]()
I need this improved upon - and soon.
SEVERE WEATHER WARNING.

STORMY CONDITIONS FOR THE NORTH OF THE NORTH ISLAND THIS WEEKEND
A low near New Caledonia is expected to deepen rapidly today and move towards
New Zealand. Although the centre of the low should pass to the north of the
country, heavy rain and damaging winds associated with it are expected to affect
Northland down to Waikato.
Heavy rain should spread south during Saturday morning and not ease until Sunday.
Up to 150mm of rain is possible in Northland, especially about the eastern hills
from Whangarei northwards. For the Rodney District north of Warkworth, Great
Barrier Island, the Coromandel Peninsula and Kaimai Range up to 120mm is likely.
Gale force easterlies are forecast to develop at a similar time to the heavy
rain, turning southeast during Sunday. Damaging gusts of 120 to 140 km/h are
possible during Saturday and Sunday, especially about the higher ground of
Northland, Auckland, Great Barrier Island and the Coromandel Peninsula, as well
as about the Hauraki Plains.
The combination of the heavy rain and strong winds is likely to disrupt outdoor
activities, make driving hazardous and lead to surface flooding, slips, rapidly
rising streams and rivers and could damage trees and buildings. People in these
areas should keep up to date with the latest forecasts and warnings.
So, I was right then.....I wonder if I get a badge or something?
