    Hyobag GT650R motor in GT250R?

    Hey,

Not going to do this, but definately had a good think about it LOL.

If you purchased a GT250R and put a GT650R motor into it, would cops/WOF stations be able to tell the difference between the engines and would they notice?

    GO CRAZY!

Well if they wont notice the engine, they probbaly wouldn't notice the different frame either.
And seeing as they use the same body parts (tank, rear plasics etc) you may as well just swap the decals over

To make it legal, you need it certified, once certified, its on the rego as 650cc. The cops would know before you got your helmet off.

you might get the 650 engine to fit into the 250 frame but would the frame handle the extra power?

I always thought they sat in the same frame anyway so what is there to gain from doing this?

Because if you have it registered as a 250CC, slam in a 650cc motor, cop pulls you over they ain't going to go "it's a 650cc registered bike".

Would the cop notice the difference in size of engined?
Would the WOF people notice you have changed the engine?

No, the frames and mountings are completely different. Nor would you want to even contemplate that - the 250 is wriggly learner bike, and the 650 is quite a well-planted sport tourer. The 650 goes like a haunted shithouse in comparison to the 250, and its vastly better composed than the 250 on the open road. The 650 engine in the 250 frame would be courting disaster on a grand scale.

    I have two 250's and a 650. Forget it.
