G'day - there can be only one Deano LOL

I thought the books were much more raw and brutal and honest than the movie.

A flatmate had a few of them (I think there was eight altogether).

Never seen any since - never searched too hard either I guess but I don't think they were best sellers so maybe limited publication ?

One "o" seperates us on kiwibiker, man from boy lol.

I havent seen ths scene of him cutting of peoples toes, so i guess he went into that in more detail in the book. I was told the movie was %100 fact, i need to get my hands on one of these books. Would be a thrilling read.

It's kind of sad he can get a legendary status off that kind of shit, while someone like Andy McNabb is pretty much unheard of here (I hear some of you opening google right now), but that's a little off topic. Anyway, I doubt they will have it in the library, might have to hit up trademe later haha Edit: Or mighty ape!

Andy McNabb is my favorite author. Libraries do have his books. The man has written over a dozen of them!

Apparently chopper mixed in with the high profile underground criminals, if you have seen underbelly you will understand. He says he sold his first sawn of shotgun to alfonzo gangitiniao (my apologies if i spelt it wrong)

Andy McNabb or Chopper? What are Andy McNabb's books like? I have only read about his books, and seen a few shows involving his commentary of experience etc, but someone told me that he is pretty much out there to "make a buck off the death of his mates" or something like that, and I was pretty surprised that an sas trooper of all soldiers can actually write a book about their experiences that are usually pretty hush hush...

I have read all Choppers books in Aus, let's just say - he tells a good yarn

They are a good read, but when you read them all, there are discrepancies!

Interesting fella tho, I had coffee next to him in Melbourne, and no I didn't ask for an autograph LOL!

Andy McNabb has two non-fiction books. Both of which were nearly banned, apparently. The first non-fiction book, Bravo Two Zero, is about a mission gone wrong during the Gulf War. The second non-fiction book, immediate Action is an autobiography.
His fiction books are all written in a similar style to Bravo Two Zero, in which he goes into great detail about things. They are all very realistic too.

Chopper says himself that he'd never let the truth get in the way of a good yarn.

    Good yarns they are though.

That would of been an intense coffee break! If you asked him for his autograph who knows what he would of done to you.

Nah mate, he likes good lookin, clean livin ladies
I wasn't afraid of him, and in fact he's quite approachable and a funny as bugger, I just didn't want to harrass him! He was being harrassed somewhat as it was in the heyday before the movie came out.

The movie has got nothing on the books!!!!! The scenes in the movie are teeny tiny portions of his life yarns
