    A Great Example...

The pot calling the kettle black perhaps....(take that how you will).

Followed a LEO in his car this morning, up Te Rapa straight, heading norf...He was right in front of me.
    1. Went through the roundabout. Did he indicate his intention to exit? No he did not. Just recently several people I know were issued infringement notices for doing exactly that - failing to indicate intention to exit a roundabout...
    2. If he was doing the speed limit (60k just there), then my speedo is a helluva lot less accurate than I suspect it is. (I was in my cage BTW, speedo 4% overread as far as I can tell.) Even with me at an indicated 70km/hr, he was disappearing up the road like a dart into a bowl of soapsuds. I have no reason to believe he was in pursuit or anything like that - no discos, stopped at the lights etc. He was just exceeding the speed limit.
Great example I thought. I shall be notifying the authorities as to this miscreant's blatant breaches of the very laws he is supposed to be upholding....bastard!

    Every job has its perks.

Me, I get all the electricity I can eat.

It's the natural order of things...don't stress and just get back to filling your bag at work.

Ah yes, it does feel better to have a little rant about those who should know better that don't lead by example.

But probably not worth your time notifying the authorities. Probably just get you more annoyed when they do nothing more than send you a form letter.

    Y'get that.
A few weeks ago, I had a cop car do a u-turn in front of me, without indicating. I was SO tempted to tootle him melodiously, but didn't. If he'd driven a mere 25m or so further up the road, he could have gone around the roundabout instead.
I then watched as he changed lanes without indicating, and turned right without indicating. He did, however, indicate at the very last possible instant as he turned right into a driveway, to go back the way he'd come.
Maybe he was drunk or summat...
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Well...guess if he can exceed the speed limit in heavy traffic, then it's OK for me to fang it out on the highway, huh..?

Not at all, it's the age-old parents' argument:
Do as I say, not as I do.

I had a cop pull out in front of me once then proceed to stick up the arse of the car in front and even needing to stab the brakes a few times. Can't say i care too much and everyone speeds on te rapa straight anyway
