I have some concerns after reading to much on the net about how crap
dunlop arrowmax tyres are . My bike is a 90 modal cbr 600 , it had irc road winners on it when i got it and ive found them ok in the dry , but i have not really pushed it hard yet . These came up , a gt501 front and gt301 rear on trademe , $260 the set new. I planed to put them on and scrub them in early next week as i intend going to the motott track day, i only intend to go if its dry and stay in group 3 to 4 , i would ofcourse make sure i warm them up well and set psi but i now have doughts wearther its a good idea with them at all. I dont intend pushing really hard , just want to have some fun and learn the bikes braking and handling better , allthou i would like to improve my pace as the day gets on . Would it be maybe a better idea to sell them get somethink better and attend one a bit later in the year or am i being to paronoid ? Thoughts from people who have used them for spirted riding would be usefull. The Bike is designed around biasply tyres and it was a bonus they poped up on there in my size and for the sharp price , i dont have a fortune to spend on tyres, but the bike while geting on, is nice and
tidy now after a respray and good service so i dont want to lay it down if i can help it lol.
Are they really that crap!!

thats been strongly advised against . I run them at the wet motott day last month and had no problems , i put 100miles on them before going and being my first one i never pushed them very hard but did pick my pace up at times . On the road they have been good as gold in more spirted riding coindtions , and ive found the 70 series gives the bike a better turn in whice i prefer and its still stable as a rock. I only intend to punt the cbr once more at taupo in the dry as i have now got hold of a dedicated track bike, ive spent a lot of time geting the honda nice and tidy so want to keep it that way . I will be trying some sport demons next time around as i see there are lots of good feedback about them . I have no intentions of going road racing , ive had my time hence my forum name . I do intend doing a few track days during the year thou, lots of fun and not the stress of a racing inviroment whice suits me
