If you get it (the tag) first ... oh darn ...

Not sure the ferry pics are actually rules mate, just the way to get the tag over the ditch? It has been done before.0
What are other players thoughts?
the man picked it up & placed it nothing in the rules that say other wise,
as has been said it's just an easy way to get it over the ditch, if you're not going in futher,
I do think that the rules need to be looked at ie: that if the tag is picked up in one Region it can't be moved any futher
than the next one, & there is some thing in the pic to say where it is
that way more people are likely to move it

NO such rule ... the photo of the ferry is a way of passing it on to the "Other" island if the tag isn't being taken over the straight by the rider with the tag.
As has been already said ... it has been done before (by north islanders) with no complaints (from north islanders) ... so why now ... ?? (from north islanders)

Not complaing mate
Just confused as shown by the emoticon.
When I read the rules I was under the impression that the ferry was a part of it,but I do see where you are coming from if someone is going straight through.
Must admit tho, as shrek said, would be nice to see it played in shorter jumps so more can have a pop at it. Its not like there's extra points for moving it from one end of the country to the other, if its gunna spend the winter stuck in the deep south again.

If its been sitting around and somone makes an expedition of it so be it,but I would like to see shorter jumps and I think the initial rules make the short jumps clear imho.I have never regarded the ferry thing as a rule, just a way to get over the strait.
I dont think we need any more rules, just to make things a little clearer
