well i know where that is,,,only one small prob, its about 550 kms away.. and a boat ride in the middle... its a bit cheeky putting it up there mate..

At least a dedicated adventurer wouldn't have to go through the lonley traffic lights to get there though...

Denniston, at the top of the incline. Wee bit north of Westport

Stayed in Westport the night, picked up tag from Denniston and rode to bluff in a day, a long trip thru Alexandra, Gore, then headed back up Catlins to Milton for the night - just thought it would make a good day trip. Now which way should I go home?

Hope you went over the the Haast ? With a bit of luck I'll know where it is at Easter. 4 days to ride somewhere and drop it

and I'm thinking of somewhere already, definitly not for road bike though

I love the way the equator isn't in the opposite direction to the South Pole ... same at Cape Reinga IIRC. Though I think that one throws in a couple of Tropics and other lines that are always due north (from the southern hemisphere, if you take the shortest route), in various directions.
