Not sure what was happening with the Tin man marker but I have just moved it to the point on the map where if you zoom to street view he can be seen in Street View as he stands in the Tag photo..
    Hope that's cool with everyone.
    Cheers

If you pluged those co ordinates in to google but without the first dots then it will work. So it is written like this... S44 54.005 E169 19.655 instead of S44.54.005 E169.19.655

thats great but i thought i had already put the marker there.what a great 'gadget' google maps is!

******ahhh i see where the variance is,i ussually view the map in sat view, and put the marker on the side of the road in sat view which is sometimes a bit different to the line which represents the road in map view******

I just copied the co-ords straight from my GPS. I should have out on my reading glasses and I would have seen that there is a degree marker after the degrees, but no dot.

I think it had been bounced about by several different people, don't remember who had been last to move it before me but it was two paddocks away when I grabbed it. I moved it again a couple of hours ago just a few meters across the road this time as I discovered the street view loaded up facing the wrong direction until I did that, now it loads facing the man himself.

As a kid I used to fish off a pontoon to the right of the photo.
    Dad worked there.

I've caught some nice fish from where I took the photo, used to be good when you could drive right to the spot and snooze in the car waiting for the fish to bite. Somebody stuck big rocks in the way now, just enough room for a bike to fit through
