Around there was where the highest speed for the trip was done.
Easy to see how it can creep up on you without you realising.

riders need to place the tag far enough north for the next district's or towns rider to tag it and so on..... the idea is to travel the tag up the length of new zealand from bottom to top.

Anyway the picton ferry is teh tag.When the tag finally arrives in picton someone tags the(say) Aretere.The tag is picked up in wellington when someone tags the Aratere in Welly
